Back to Bavaria Front

A beautiful view of the Bavarian countryside.

This is the Neuschwanstein Castle. It was built in the 1860's and 1870's by Ludwig II. It was actually never completed since Ludwig II died before he could live there.

That's not Sudhir taking a leak, that's a giant waterfall near Neuschwanstein.

That evening we drive to Dinklesbuhl where they are celebrating Kindersfest, a yearly celebration when a lot of children and adults dress up in medievel clothing and dance around.

Here are all the performers.

Women are dancing around.

More dancing.

Another act.

And then the next day we go to Rothenburg which is a similar town to Dinklesbuhl but larger and more touristy. Like Dinklesbuhl it was built in the middle ages and hasn't changed much, but I think Dinklesbuhl is older.

You can walk on the city walls as well.
