This is at the top of a monument commemorating the unity of Germany in
1870 or there abouts. Once again I fail to take a picture of the
monument itself. We are in the middle of the Tiergarten looking
toward East Berlin.
My camera was tilted in this picture so I had to skew the image. At the end of the park is the Brandenburg Gate. You can see the TV Tower most obviously and the church to its right with the green dome.
A bland panorma of West Berlin from the same monument.
Now we are on top of the Reichstag (Parliament). You can see the
Brandenburg Gate and construction at Potsdamer Platz in the background.
There are cranes all over East Berlin as they prepare for the whole
government to move there.
Max Planck taught here (in East Berlin) a long time ago.
Now we are on Museuminsel (Museum Island). All the museums were closed.
Inside the Berlin Church with the big green dome.
Another view.
Now we are ontop of the TV tower which had a rotating
restaurant that went around every half an hour. You can see the
Berlin Church and the Museuminsel.
