We spend less than a day in Berlin which is an exceedingly short time for the biggest city in Europe. Although it is supposedly the largest city, it ironically had an almost small-city feel to it perhaps due to the fact that there were very few tourists. Everything was under construction and there were tons of cranes in the East Berlin part. We arrived on Day 9 and walked through the Tiergarten and under the Brandenburg Gate. We got to go up on top of the Reichstag in the new glass dome that they had just built. Parliament had just moved from Bonn to Berlin in 1999. We went to the Museuminsel in East Berlin and to the top of the TV Tower. On Day 10 we explored the Berlin Wall in the morning and then were off to Bavaria in the afternoon.
