Andrei, Ben, & Sudhir's Excellent Adventure to

The summer of 1999 saw an epic journey by three divine souls that many felt was impossible, a pilgrimage across an unknown land with danger lurking at every turn, an odessy that was second only to Moses leading the Jews back to the Promise Land. On the other end of the spectrum of travels that summer was the three and a half week trip devised by the cunning Andrei, the clever Ben, and the crafty Sudhir. Well this too is an exaggeration since neither of us are cunning, clever, or/yet crafty. But suffice it to say that an excellent adventure was had by all and nobody got killed.

Our three beloved characters faced many adventures from learning the proper technique of dipping fondue while drinking out of a baby's bottle to realizing (rather slowly) that the rainbow symbol outside of a Munich restaurant does have meaning as to whom the restaurant services. We experienced living in vastly different settings from staying right off La Rambla in Barcelona to sleeping in a farming guesthouse in a suburb of Dinklesbuhl (a one McDonald's town itself). Several themes of our trip were safety (especially on the German autobahns), responsibility (using paging systems only in an emergency), and maturity (including not timing how long it takes spit to travel off high bridges). Alcohol consumption of course was strictly prohibited especially in Munich. Throughout our trip the three of us worked to solidify our strong moral characters that we now apply to every moment of our adult lives.
